Learn a Poem

A good poem gives pleasure, satisfaction and provides a lesson. Memorizing and reciting a new poem each month is an excellent goal for all children, and has many benefits. It sharpen the mind, improves memory, broadens language skills and stimulates creativity.  Children take pride in reciting poetry and enjoy the opportunity to share with others what they have learned.  Memorizing a poem is a gift that one gives to oneself.
